"briton woodcutter" mobs in Crau are considered Animals

Was farming briton woodcutter in Crau and noticed my "Kill Animal Creatures" task lvling up.
Not sure it was really the mob I killed or something else so I tried to kill an other mob. The "Kill Animal Creatures" counter rose by 1.
