On Live, critical spread heals increase the pool amount, which is then distributed to injured party members. I believe the max# healed per person also increases by the crit% value, but I can't check that at the moment without a live account.

Jitter is at 95% health but gets a big crit. Applying crits after distribution makes it so the heal can often be "wasted". I'm not aware if it is also bypassing the healed per player limit.
