Dot Damage change after lose acu buff

Dot a Target and the Dot do 200dmg per tick.
I die and i lose my Acu buff and the dot drop to 150dmg per tick (i am dead).

This is not correct

Same applies if you /release or being rezzed with sickness; damage is halfed.

i feel like this is correct , any logical comment why dmg should stay the same?
