Reskinning a weapon retains the original color and glow effect

When you apply a reskin to a weapon, the way the reskin should work is that your weapon's appearance changes to the model shown on the "preview" merchant, exactly. However, if for example you have a blue-glowing two handed sword that you want to reskin, applying the reskin changes the base model to the new weapon, HOWEVER, it KEEPS the blue + glow effect of the original item. Therefore, reskinning an item that is colored + glowing will only change the base model, but will make the new base model blue + glowing. This is incorrect behavior.

To reproduce:
1. Get one of the blue glowing weapons off the free merchant in Midgard (dragonhammer for example)
2. Apply a reskin to a neutral model which should have NO blue or glowing effect on it
3. Notice that the new, reskinned sword appears as the base model of your chosen reskin however instead of it being a "neutral" color, it is instead glowing blue and has an overall blue color

Must be joking to say, "this is incorrect behavior" as re-skins are a custom feature of the server. There's no precedent and they can make it however they want. Personally i like that the glowie affect stays and hope it doesn't get changed.

@ Ardri when you use a reskin you expect your item to look like the reskin shown in the example generated. That's why per their own model of the item you are reskinning to, it's incorrect behavior

Can't reproduce what you're talking about. Currently the preview shows the new model with the color and effect of the item you have equipped, which is working as intended. https://cdn3.imggmi.com/uploads/2019/1/2/3bb80f3cce0001bdd9e9c315379126a7-full.png
If the item equipped and the item you handed to the NPC are not the same item (for example equipped is undyed with no effect and handed is blue and glowy), you could get a "neutral" color and no effect on the preview and then a color and effect on the item you actually hand to the NPC. Keep in mind that if you change your equipped item, the preview will not be automatically updated - you have to click on the model to update the preview. Changing the model of an item shouldn't strip or alter it's existing color or effect.
